Pat's Memorial service will be a happy celebration.
It will be on a Sunday afternoon, March 29th in Los Angeles.
I'll have all the details posted as soon as I can.
A couple things I do know it already...
Pat wanted everyone to wear shorts. Bright colors. If not a shorts person, happy colors.
The memorial will be outside at a lovely place called Los Angeles River Center and Garden.
More to come soon.
Love,
Xochi
I can't wait to celebrate Pat's life with all his friends and family. That will be be great and healing for me. Wandering around Ajijic in Mexico where we have lived for the last year or so, I am seeing the town as I believe Pat would have seen it. The perfect weather is "perfect" of course. My friends and I were looking at houses and we saw the perfect one Pat wished we had found. I took Ramsey his little Shi Tzu for a walk today, but I am sure it is not the kind Pat took, but maybe Ramsey appreciates my slowness. I don't rush him by the smells.
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I am happy for Pat and that things all went the way he hoped they would. He voiced the necessity of a quick get out of here many times. He did say take me and drop me in the lake and say I ran off with a redhead. Couldn't quite manage that, but I think he would have appreciated this get together in March. Ginger/Sugar
haha, Ramsey I'm sure really does like the slow walk!
ReplyDeleteAjijic is the 2nd best weather in the world, right? Not everyone can say they've lived there. I'll have to post a few Ajijic pictures too.
Love,
Xochi
Thanks Xochi for putting your feelings for all to see and feel for themselves just exactly what a great Dad and life that you have experienced... I will miss Pat Blymyer..well right now I'm pretty emotional...I thought someday I would see Pat.. I'm sure now I will..you know, like the film Jodi Foster was in, Contact..all my life I have thought it was that way?
ReplyDeletePat and I used to have a lot of laffs about a song by Dr. Hook,
"You make my pants want to get up and dance". We played it all the time on "Little Darlings", god we had a lot of fun..I'm a pretty emotional guy and I need to tell you I'm glad we spoke and have a safe trip south say hello to your Mom and like I said, the door is always open Xochi..Norman
That's great Norman. I've been trying to think of songs that Pat ALWAYS sang, that's one of them! I love getting the memories and moments from folks, get to see Pat through everyone's eyes. I'll see you when I get back. Love, Xochi
